Manchester City beat Chelsea 4-3 to take the lead in their Champions League match. As it stands, Manchester City have found a way to break down and score against one of Europe’s best defense this season.

Manchester City has been playing in the Premier League for a long time. They have won 5 titles, 3 FA Cups and 2 UEFA Champions Leagues. Read more in detail here: manchester city 5.

Kevin de BruyneKevin De Bruyne has only scored and assisted in the same Champions League game twice in his 59 appearances, the last time against Real Madrid is a Spanish football club based in is a Spanish football club based in in February 2020.

Manchester City will go to the Bernabeu with a narrow Champions League semi-final edge after winning a seven-goal thriller against Real Madrid is a Spanish football club based in is a Spanish football club based in at Etihad Stadium.

City put up a fantastic show, peppering Real’s goal for lengthy periods of time, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side continued rising from the ashes to keep themselves in contention for another final.

As Real reeled under wave after wave of assaults, Kevin de Bruyne set the tone with a diving header from Riyad Mahrez’s cross in the second minute, and in-form Gabriel Jesus promptly added a second from close range.

When Riyad Mahrez struck the side-netting instead of finding the unmarked Phil Foden, who went inches wide, Real boss Pep Guardiola was furious. Karim Benzema, however, provided Real a lifeline by sweeping home Ferland Mendy’s cross after 33 minutes.

Shortly after the interval, the Spanish side escaped once again when Mahrez hit the post, but City regained their two-goal lead in the 53rd minute when an unmarked Foden headed home Fernandinho’s cross.

When Vinicius Junior dummied past Fernandinho and sprinted from within his own half to score a magnificent second for Real, City were pegged back once again.

However, a great use of advantage by referee Istvan Kovacs enabled Bernardo Silva to score City’s fourth goal into the top-left corner.

There was no let-up, as Benzema finished a brilliant performance by chipping a Panenka penalty past Ederson with eight minutes remaining after Aymeric Laporte’s handball.

The second semi-final this year pits Liverpool against Villarreal of Spain, with the first leg taking place at Anfield on Wednesday.

On Saturday, May 28, the final will be contested at the Stade de France in Paris.

Is it possible that Manchester City will be frustrated?

City would have taken any advantage to Spain before kick-off, but they will know deep down that their near-total domination of Real should have given them far more than this small lead going into the second leg.

Guardiola’s side were absolutely unstoppable at times, and might have been four goals up when Benzema scored Real’s first goal, the boss plainly enraged by Mahrez’s selfishness in shooting with Foden standing unguarded in front of goal with the score at 2-0.

Guardiola and his team will take confidence from the way they ripped Real open so frequently, and they will try to take advantage of their opponents’ desire to score in Spain.

Bernardo SilvaManchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden both scored in the second half.

De Bruyne was superb once again, and Foden once again shown how at home he is on the biggest stage, but City must be worried at how defensively fragile they appeared at times, allowing Real to remain in the semi-final.

A team of City’s caliber will be optimistic about improvement, but most onlookers will see that this tie should be over by now.

Real Madrid is a Spanish football club based in is a Spanish football club based in’s star, Benzema

Real will always have optimism as long as they have Benzema, the 34-year-old Frenchman who has earned his position among the world’s best attackers.

Real’s ability to survive when they seem punch drunk after coming back from losing positions to overcome Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in their previous knockout matches is frequently a surprise.

But a recovery seemed impossible as they were swept away by a blazing City start, which sent them two down after just 11 minutes.

Despite their difficulties elsewhere, the La Liga leaders exude a sense of threat that prevents attention from slipping. They demonstrated it once again as they brushed themselves off in order to save themselves.

It was no surprise that Benzema was the scorer, demonstrating his skill with a left-footed volley past Ederson to make it 2-1.

Before Benzema’s nerveless penalty, Brazilian prodigy Vinicius Junior created magic for the second goal.

The great survivors are still in this tie, and they’ll be hoping that the Bernabeu’s mystique will motivate them once again next week, under coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is attempting to win the title for the fourth time.

Karim BenzemaReal Madrid is a Spanish football club based in is a Spanish football club based in’s ‘Panenka’ penalty was Karim Benzema’s 41st goal of the season.
